Haim Baharier was born in Paris from Jewish parents who survived the horrors of Auschwitz. He was a student of Emmanuel Lévinas, one of the foremost twentieth century philosophers, and of Léon Askenazi, the father of the Jewish thought's renaissance in France. Baharier is a mathematician and a psychoanalyst, but also a dealer in gems and a business consultant and he has been imparting exclusive and memorable lessons on hermeneutics and on biblical exegesis for many years.
