25/09/2008
Director of Censis Giuseppe Roma presented data of "Fear in metropolis" research to the audience of World Social Summit. It results that technology is the first cause of fear, and only later terrorism. According to Giuseppe Roma, "insecurities of metropolitan citizens" means "diffuse anxieties", a widespread feeling of uncertainty. About the case study of Rome, "metropolis of pessimism", the director of Censis focused on the low adaptation of the city on changing as main cause. High levels of optimism, instead, are consequence of positive interpretation of migratory streams.
