De Rita, hope beyond fear

Giuseppe De Rita, sociologist and President of Censis, resumed World Social Summit three-days event. "We have to overcome the idea of multiple fears, in order to avoid the risk of a widespread common feeling of uncertainty. Something dangerous is happening in Italy", sayd De Rita. "People are scared and look for security in a generic manner: military forces in our cities are the result of this process. It's important not to lose the hope, and take it faraway and distant from fear. We need courage, freedom and a positive utopia. Moreover", concluded De Rita, "we don't have to trust individual solutions to our problems".
