Roberto Napoletano is a journalist and writer who was born in La Spezia in 1961. He is the director of the Rome newspaper "Il Messaggero". During the 1990s he headed the finance section for "Il Mattino" in Naples, and later became deputy director of the financial newspaper, "Il Sole 24 Ore", working in the Rome office. He has published "Se il Sud potesse parlare" (If the South Could Speak), Sperling&Kupfer, 1999; "Fatti per vincere" (Facts that Win), Sperling&Kupfer; "Padroni d'Italia" (Bosses of Italy), Sperling&Kupfer, 2004 and "Fardelli d'Italia" (Burdens of Italy), Sperling&Kupfer, 2005. He has won numerous international awards.
